We pass retrocessions on to you
In line with a ruling by the Federal Supreme Court, financial institutions are obliged to pass on commissions (or retrocessions), provided these relate to investment products and were paid in connection with an asset management mandate. At VZ, we've always passed these retrocessions on to you – even if you manage your own money.
Retrocessions are credited on a quarterly basis. In some cases, the retrocessions credited may be higher than the custody fee. As a client of VZ Depository Bank, you may therefore not have to pay anything for your custody account in certain circumstances. You could even receive money for it.
