How does the state pension reform affect me?
The reform of the Swiss state pension system came into force on 1 January 2024. The ordinary retirement age for women will be gradually increased from 64 to 65 by 2028. All other changes apply to both men and women. It's now possible to start drawing your first pension flexibly between the ages of 63 and 70 and to initially receive only part of the pension while deferring the rest. Contributions paid after the age of 65 can now also increase your pension, provided that you haven't yet reached the maximum pension amount. The reform also affects occupational pension funds and vested benefits.
