European stock movers in focus:

Adyen NV, up 14% at EUR1,034.00 in Amsterdam, 12-month range EUR772.40-EUR1,600.80. The payments firm lifts its annual outlook after a "strong and strategically important half year". It now expects net revenue growth of 21% to 23% for 2026, its view lifted from 20% to 22%.

Antofagasta PLC, down 5.2% at 3,821p, 12-month range 2,073.00p-4,475.00p. The copper miner reports improved half-year earnings but trims its output guidance. It now expects copper output in the range of 625,000 to 655,000 tonnes for the whole of 2026, its outlook cut from 650,000-700,000 tonnes. Copper production was 653,700 tonnes in 2025. Los Pelambres has resumed operations after "extraordinarily severe weather conditions in Chile", the miner said. "While there has been no material impact on key equipment and infrastructure, detailed inspections have identified the need for repairs to certain pipeline platforms and water management systems."

Sixt SE, up 4.5% at EUR75.20 in Frankfurt, 12-month range EUR57.70-EUR94.40. The car rental company reports an increase in quarterly earnings and it affirms its outlook. Net profit in the second quarter of 2026 rises 5.8% to EUR83.0 million from EUR78.4 million a year prior, with revenue up 9.9% to EUR1.19 billion from EUR1.08 billion. For the full year, it still expects revenue between EUR4.45 billion and EUR4.60 billion.

Commerzbank AG, up 1.5% at EUR39.96, 12-month range EUR29.01-EUR40.01. Reuters, citing an "internal document", reports Wednesday that the European Central Bank is "leaning towards" backing UniCredit's swoop for the lender. Reuters reports the document was presented to the ECB's supervisory board last month. UniCredit's holding in Commerzbank stands at around 48%. UniCredit Chief Executive Andrea Orcel has recently said he expects to gain control of the Frankfurt-based lender in the fourth quarter. UniCredit shares traded 1.3% higher in Milan.
