Thales wins Danish defense order to deploy air traffic radar in Faroe Islands

(AWP Alliance News) - Thales won a contract from Denmark's defence procurement agency DALO to supply and deploy a temporary RSM NG air-surveillance radar at Sornfelli in the Faroe Islands. The system will replace an existing Thales RSM 970 radar, with delivery and installation targeted within six months.

Thales said the changeover will be completed without disrupting air-traffic-control services, with the radar integrated into Naviair and AVIANS systems to support both civil and military operations.
