Take-Two hunts leaker as Grand Theft Auto VI leaks again

Description

(AWP Alliance News) - Take-Two Interactive Software Inc was "rattled" as Grand Theft Auto VI leaked again, Forbes reported on Tuesday.

Earlier in the week, an individual or group called "CyberLeek" began publishing footage from the highly-anticipated game, set to be released in November.

The New York City-based video game developer, and its Rockstar Games unit, have tried to "buoy morale as its lawyers aggressively hunt for the party responsible."

"Grand Theft Auto VI isn't in early development - it's just three months away from being released and is expected to be one of the most lucrative video games ever," noted Forbes.

Rockstar was reported to be "all hands on deck" as the company attempted to source the leak's origin. Take-Two began seeking records from Microsoft Corp and Discord Inc to help identify CyberLeek.

However, the launch of the game is still expected to be a success, with Forbes reported "pre-order records" for the game.

Shares in Take-Two traded up 0.2% at USD233.97 each in New York on Tuesday.
