(AWP Alliance News) - Novo Nordisk AS on Monday said it is hosting a capital markets day in London, where it will outline a series of medium-term targets.
The Copenhagen-based pharmaceutical firm, known for weight loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy, is aiming to launch more than five "multi-blockbusters" by 2030.
The target for pipeline sales in 2035 is above DKK150 billion, or roughly USD23.04 billion.
Novo shares fell 4.6% to DKK268.50 each on Monday afternoon in Copenhagen. The stock was also down 4.6% at USD43.24 per share during pre-market trade in New York.
Novo, which recently rebranded to the single-word moniker though its legal name remains Novo Nordisk, aims to carry out at least five phase-three test programmes in obesity and diabetes, and at least five in other therapy areas.
Between 2026 and 2030, Novo is targeting a compound annual growth rate for revenue "in line with industry peers", among whom it cited Eli Lilly & Co and AstraZeneca PLC.
Novo aims to ramp up capacity to sell GLP-1 drugs to ten times more people with obesity.
The goal is to have more than 60 million patients globally by 2030, maintaining "a broadly stable operating margin" and "attractive" shareholder payout.
