Intel appoints Marvell's Dean Jarnac as chief sales officer

(AWP Alliance News) - Intel on Friday said it had appointed Dean Jarnac as executive vice president and chief sales officer.

The Santa Clara, California-based chipmaker said Jarnac will assume his role in September.

Jarnac has served as chief sales officer at Santa Clara-based semiconductor developer Marvell Technology Inc since 2021. Prior to working at Marvell, he was the vice president of sales for the America segment of Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Suwon, South Korea-based Samsung Electronics Co.

"Dean is a proven leader with deep industry relationships and a strong track record of building high-performance sales organizations," said Lip-Bu Tan, Intel chief executive.

Jarnac will succeed Greg Ernst, who will be leaving the Intel after 27 years with the company.

"I'm honored to join Lip-Bu and the Intel team as we help customers unlock new opportunities with Intel's innovation, while accelerating the company's growth and transformation," said Jarnac.

Intel shares closed up 1.8% at USD101.65 each in New York on Friday.
