European stock movers in focus:

----------

Stellantis NV, up 2.1% at EUR4.10, 12-month range EUR3.81-EUR10.49. Shares rise across European carmakers after the EU and China on Friday strike a landmark deal to "halve" sales of Chinese hybrid cars in the bloc. The agreement follows concerns in the European car sector that surging sales from Chinese competitors are killing off parts of the industry. EU Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic says the deal is the first of its kind, following "intense" negotiations since June to reduce the EU's growing trade deficit with China.

----------

Thales SA, up 2.1% at EUR222.15, 12-month range EUR211.90-EUR274.20. European defence stocks rise despite US President Donald Trump's claims that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to an "energy ceasefire". Oil prices fall after Trump strikes a deal on Friday to import Russian diesel into the US in an effort to curb domestic fuel prices, although Russia continues to target Ukrainian power plants. Defence stocks remain resilient amid scepticism over peace prospects, with the reported pause in attacks yet to be confirmed. Investors do not expect the developments to significantly alter European governments' perceptions of the security threat or disrupt multi-year defence procurement programmes.

----------

TotalEnergies SE, down 2.5% at EUR78.47, 12-month range EUR49.25-EUR85.08. The French energy company expands its joint venture with US investment firm KKR & Co Inc, adding three utility-scale solar assets valued at USD1.20 billion. The projects, located in Texas and Ohio, will add 700 megawatts of capacity to the joint venture established in 2025, which currently holds a 1.4-gigawatt renewable energy portfolio. The three plants are expected to become operational by the first quarter of 2027, with their electricity already sold to third parties or set to be marketed by TotalEnergies. The company will continue operating the assets following completion of the transaction, which is expected in 2026.

----------

Nordex SE, up 2.8% at EUR36.42, 12-month range EUR21.86-EUR51.70. The German wind turbine maker reports a 30% increase in third-quarter order intake to 2,810 megawatts from 2,170MW a year earlier, driven by strong demand in Turkey, Germany and the US. Orders for the first nine months of 2026 rise 16% to 7,733MW from 6,661MW. The average selling price falls 3.2% to EUR900,000 per megawatt in the third quarter from EUR930,000, although it rises 1.1% to EUR930,000 for the year to date. Nordex receives orders for 427 turbines across 10 countries during the quarter, with Turkey accounting for more than 900MW. Chief Executive Jose Luis Blanco says the company's order book is becoming increasingly diversified geographically, with US orders exceeding 1.3 gigawatts so far this year.

----------

Volkswagen AG, up 0.6% at EUR68.38, 12-month range EUR66.60-EUR109.15. The German carmaker reports a 9.0% decline in global vehicle deliveries to 6.01 million in the first nine months of 2026 from 6.60 million a year earlier, as a sharp downturn in China offsets growth in Europe and South America. Third-quarter deliveries fall 14% to 1.9 million vehicles from 2.2 million, with deliveries in China plunging 39% to 405,800. For the nine-month period, deliveries in China declined 30% to 1.4 million, while North American deliveries fell 4.0% to 680,200. European deliveries rise 1.7% to 3.0 million, while South American deliveries increase 4.3% to 502,500. Global battery-electric vehicle deliveries decline 5.4% to 678,700 in the first nine months, although European electric vehicle deliveries rise 12% to 586,100, including a 20% increase in the third quarter. Volkswagen says electric vehicles now account for around 40% of its European order book, which has doubled since the end of 2025. Its newly launched Electric Urban Car Family has attracted nearly 150,000 orders, while global plug-in hybrid and range-extender vehicle deliveries rise around 23% to 368,000. The company says high fuel prices and a wider range of entry-level models are supporting electric vehicle demand in Europe, while the Chinese market remains challenging.
