DHL to invest EUR400 million in European supply chain

(AWP Alliance News) - Deutsche Post AG / DHL Group - Bonn, Germany-based logistics company - Announces EUR400 million investment in Central and Eastern Europe through 2030 as the company strengthens its logistics infrastructure and supply chain. DHL identifies Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania as benefiting from "geographic tailwinds" as companies seek "greater proximity to the European consumer market."

"Central and Eastern Europe is becoming increasingly important to global trade flows and supply chain networks, with Poland in particular emerging as one of Europe's most dynamic logistics and manufacturing hubs," says John Pearson, chief executive of DHL Express. "Through these investments, we are expanding the infrastructure and international connectivity needed to support the growth ambitions of the dynamic companies that are driving the economic development of this region."
