European stock movers in focus:
----------
Daimler Truck Holding AG, down 3.2% at EUR40.56 in Frankfurt, 12-month range EUR33.46-EUR50.08.
It reports increased profit in the third quarter, but order intake disappoints. The commercial vehicle maker says net profit increases 53% to EUR702 million in the third quarter from EUR458 million a year earlier. Revenue rises 19% to EUR12.58 billion from EUR10.55 billion. Incoming orders rise 10% on-year to 71,168 in the third quarter. Reuters reports Daimler Truck misses order intake by around 9%.
----------
ASML Holding NV, up 3.2% at EUR1,289.40 in Amsterdam, 12-month range EUR822.20-EUR1,741.00. The chipmaker shed 6.6% on Thursday as artificial intelligence sector worries battered stocks again. The sell-off was down to worries that the resounding midterm win by the US Democrats will slow the AI build out. But analysts at merchant bank Yorkville Ives believe the sell-off was overdone. "We would characterize this sell-off level and magnitude with the tech sell-offs we saw in March 2020 during Covid and the April 2025 liberation day sell-off.which were golden buying opportunities to own the tech winners and this one is the same," the analysts say.
----------
Leonardo, down 2.5% at EUR48.10, 12-month range EUR44.25-EUR66.26. The defence sector has also lost out following the midterms, with Leonardo shares set for a fourth-successive decline in Milan. President Donald Trump back in January said he wanted to increase the US defence budget by half next year to a mammoth USD1.5 trillion to deal with "troubled and dangerous times." But the Democrat win may scupper spending plans.
----------
International Consolidated Airlines Group, up 1.4% at 433.2p, 12-month range 332.70p-492.90p. The British Airways owner says it is on track to deliver full-year market expectations. It continues to expect to deliver an operating margin before exceptional items in 2026 of at least 12%, within its through-the-cycle target range of 12% to 15%. IAG says operating profit fell 16% to EUR1.73 billion in the three months ended September 30 from EUR2.05 billion a year earlier, below the company's compiled consensus of EUR1.81 billion. Revenue rises 4.4% to EUR9.74 billion from EUR9.33 billion on-year.
