She will succeed Angie Freeman, chief human resources and ESG officer, who plans to retire at year-end following nearly three decades with the company. Workman currently serves as chief human resources officer at Empower Pharmacy and previously was vice president and head of human resources at Tesla.

As part of the transition, the environmental, social and governance function will report to Dorothy Capers, chief legal officer.
