European stock movers in focus:

----------

Babcock International Group PLC, up 2.2% at 906.30 pence, 12-month range 871.20p-1,527.00p. Shares rise alongside other European defence stocks amid expectations of increased government military spending and heightened geopolitical tensions. US President Donald Trump's announcement of an "energy truce" between Russia and Ukraine has drawn international criticism following his agreement to resume Russian diesel imports to ease soaring US fuel prices. Meanwhile, Ukraine's European allies have reaffirmed their support for Kyiv, announcing plans to increase military spending. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to meet UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham in Downing Street, as the UK announces plans to accelerate deliveries of air defence missiles to Ukraine. The move includes speeding up shipments of British Lightweight Multirole Missiles, with the UK having previously committed to supplying more than 5,000 missiles worth GBP1.6 billion over four years.

----------

Airtel Africa PLC, down 3.3% at 277.70 pence, 12-month range 219.00p-436.20p. Shares fall as its mobile money subsidiary Airtel Mobile Commerce NV, known as Airtel Money, begins unconditional trading in London following last week's initial public offering, the largest in the capital since 2021. Airtel Money shares trade at 181.28p, down 7.5% from their IPO price of 196p, giving the business a market capitalisation of GBP4.90 billion, compared with the GBP5.3 billion valuation at flotation. The listing, which saw 2.70 billion shares admitted to trading, comes below earlier valuation expectations of USD8 billion to USD9 billion reported by Bloomberg. Airtel Africa retains an approximately 78% stake in the business through its subsidiary Bharti Airtel International (Netherlands) BV.

----------

ASML Holding NV, up 2.2% at EUR1,544.80, 12-month range EUR822.20-EUR1,741.00. The Dutch semiconductor equipment maker reports third-quarter net income of EUR4.96 billion, up 70% from EUR2.92 billion in the previous quarter and more than double EUR2.12 billion a year earlier. Net sales jump 55% year-on-year to EUR11.66 billion from EUR7.52 billion, while gross margin improves to 57% from 52%. ASML raises its interim dividend to EUR1.88 per share from EUR1.60 and forecasts full-year sales of EUR44 billion to EUR45 billion, around 35% above 2025, with a gross margin of around 65%. Chief Executive Christophe Fouquet says demand for chipmaking equipment continues to accelerate, driven by artificial intelligence investment, with some customers seeking to place orders for 2029 and 2030. ASML now expects its planned supply capacity for 2027 and 2028 to fall short of customer demand and is exploring ways to expand capacity in 2028 beyond the previously announced 30% increase.

----------

London Stock Exchange Group PLC, down 0.9% at 8,272.00 pence, 12-month range 6,684.00p-10,140.00p. The stock exchange operator and financial data provider announces a collaboration with US chipmaker Nvidia Corp to help financial institutions analyse historical market data at greater speed and scale using Nvidia's cuDF technology. The partnership will allow customers to analyse LSEG's tick history database, which contains 110 trillion rows of data covering 100 million instruments across more than 580 exchanges, trading venues and contributors, spanning over 30 years. LSEG says the technology will enable faster analysis without requiring customers to create additional copies of the data. The announcement follows a 4.7% decline in LSEG shares on Tuesday after the company confirmed it was in talks to acquire financial data provider Octus from private equity firm Permira for USD3.5 billion. LSEG says the proposed acquisition would immediately boost revenue growth in its Data & Analytics division and across the group, although no final agreement has been reached.
