(AWP Alliance News) - Anthropic PBC is expected to begin marketing its initial public offering in mid-October at the earliest, Reuters reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The artificial intelligence company is expected to complete the listing days before the US midterm elections in November, according to the report.
Anthropic had previously been expected to publish its IPO prospectus as early as next week, which would begin the final stages of the offering. This is now expected in late September, Reuters said, although the timing remains subject to change.
The delay pushes back a potential USD2 trillion listing, which would rank among the largest IPOs ever and provide a major test of investor appetite for artificial intelligence companies.
As part of preparations for the IPO, Anthropic is seeking to finalise a USD15 billion revolving credit facility, after which analysts, including those from banks involved in the financing, are expected to meet with the company.
Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs Group Inc, JPMorgan Chase & Co and Citigroup Inc are among the banks working with Anthropic on the IPO, Reuters reported.
Anthropic declined to comment to Reuters, while the banks also declined to comment.
