Which insurance do I really need?

Many insurance policies are unnecessary or overpriced – or both. The only coverage you really need is against risks that could have an adverse effect on your budget or even threaten your ability to pay your costs of living. By contrast, anything you can cover yourself without any problems doesn't need to be insured. Having a glass breakage policy as an add-on to your home contents insurance is often unnecessary, for example. If you break a glass table, you can often afford to simply buy a new one.
